Searched the FAQ and the threads. Has anybody installed a remote starter on their 100 series?

I bought the MPC starter for my year and model.

Here is my conundrum: I don't want to include all the safety features. Don't care if doors are locked or not. Don't want lights flashing. Don't care if a thief tries to drive away. All I want is to start the vehicle by my key FOB and touch as few OEM wires during the install.

Hoping someone here has deeper knowledge of what the remote starter is doing than what is offered in the wiring diagram.

Did you ever install this? Any issues?

Yes, and "touch as few wires as possible" is....tricky. The immobilizer has to be defeated/cloned/tricked/etc.

Way back when I saw someone here post about a Drone Mobile install, did some homework, and found a local dealer to install a similar system on my truck. It's all Compustar gear, with the additional Drone Mobile components added on. My dealer went the entire way—it chirps, is connected to park lights, etc....I'm sure it's possible to ask someone to install the minimum functionality or touch as few stock wires as possible. Behind the kick panel now is a rats nest of wires now, but I can live with it. My garage isn't tall enough, so remote start runs AC to keep the carseat somewhat under the melting point of aluminum.

I had an MPC on a different car once (and it worked great, especially at the price) and looked for one that might fit on the Lexus, but had no success.
