Well after moving up here from the flat land the cruiser definitely wants her gears installed. I will pull the thirds myself. Front is E-locker and rear is semi-float with an aussie.

Anybody should be able to do the rear but want someone familiar with elockers on the front.
TIA

Setting up elockers and Aussies is no different. I have the tools and know-how, but no time. Having this done at a shop is very costly. Make sure whoever does it uses gear paint and a dial indicator... anyone who tells you they can "feel" backlash is full of it. Pinion depth is more important than most people think, and run-out needs to be checked too. You don't want a gearset coming apart at 70 mph, that could really ruin your day.

Luke you sure i cant sway you with good food and better beer ;)

I couldn't do that to you, you'd be at the back of the list.... and it's a long damn list. :) I've got a solid axle swap to perform for Justin, a transmission to rebuild, a different transmission to swap out for my parents, a door to put in, a pot rack to build for the wife, my own rig to get going, the FJ40 just puked out all of it's transfer case gear oil all over the driveway today... it never ends.

It seems like the pot rack should be first on the list. The kitchen pass flows more easily after that.

Call Don at Bear Automotive, 591-5700, if you have a shop do the work. You can talk it through with him and decide if he should do it for you. He is a land cruiser guy and does a lot of work on 80 series.

You should get sliders first dooD, lets wheel...

Man, I'm curious what kind of quotes you are going to be looking at though... If you need a garage to take it apart and make ur bill cheaper u are welcome to mine any time man

Luke you need to make that list longer, just a little.. lol

Vic thanks for the suggestion, i will look him up.

Anthony thanks for the offer. If we can get someone with the know how I would LOVE to have a wrench party. Weather says it's time for one anyway, right!
Plenty of food and cold beer I will supply happily. I would much rather spend the cash on getting it done and having a good time than just blowing it all at a shop. Is there any chance of this happening?

Tips getting his rig ready, soo no go there. We gotta guy that just moved to Denver that installs gears in jeeps. I'll hitm up for ya. Might have the rig down for a week or 2 though

Hopefully nothing else should be needed than the gears. I bought the master install kits but told I may not need to use them.

Don't go to avenger unless you hate having money in your account and really want to get cleaned out. On second thought don't go to them at all and just give me the extra money!
