Alright I feel like I may be taking a shot in the dark but this forum seems to always come up with the answer.

Situation: After having an Anderson SB50 to charge my camping trailer for years I added one for the same reason to charge my camper. Everything seems to be charging BUT...

Solar: when hooked up all appropriate indicators light up and voltage monitor seems to confirm.

Shore: Charges as expected with no issues

Vehicle: results are somewhat preliminary but now that I have the Anderson cable hooked up the charging profile seems correct. Prior to this, with just the 7-pin connected, I would initially get good charge and then it would drop off completely. From what I have read (and I know not to expect much from a 7-pin) this is not unusual as my truck has a "Smart Alternator" and with the variable output cannot be relied upon for charging as a stand-alone.

Problem?

I have noticed that regardless of whether or not my vehicle is plugged up either via the 7-pin connector or the Anderson cable or both, the RedArc vehicle indicator light remains on. I've spent a decent amount of time running through my wiring and I noticed that ONLY when I disconnect the Shore Power wire from the battery does this light go off, which is not encouraging.

Any ideas?

BTW for clarification - the diagram is over simplified. Specifically the ignition trigger wire provided with the RedArc is actually wired onto the Fuse block which according to Claude AI gives this scenario as the culprit:

"The ignition trigger wire isn't actually sensing "engine running." It's sensing "batteries are being charged," which happens to correlate with shore power in your case."
