The Adventure Duo

Did Tom get his cherokee running again? I thought he retired it and moved to an 80.

Met Tom at BorregoFest this past weekend. He had a beautiful red 80 with him that had been well loved on the trail!!! Didn't know who he was when we first met (meaning Tom from Badlands 4x4).

I held my own impromtu winch clinic Saturday in Coyote canyon:D.

I will say it was a good thing I had a Warn winch- my buddy had one of those cheap chinese winches that was a total P.O.S. The wire was wound on backwards and all it was good for was use as stabilizer.

My Warn got me out and back on the trail.

So you're the one that flopped? (heard through the grapevine)

How'd that happen?

I was parked about twenty feet up and to the right- parallel to the wash. Decided to move the vehicle and backed up just a little farther than I should have. :whoops: The DS rear dropped over the side and then pulled me over. The bank curved back into my line of travel and I should have given that side a second glance.

Luckily- out of habit I always buckle up when I get into the drivers seat and I only bruised my ego.:D.

The 40 will get fixed and it's just the excuse I needed to repaint it:D

Was not me- this was at the end of Coyote Canyon where the gate is.

I thought that's where it looked to be. Glad to hear you're ok.. its funny how the simplest things can ruin our day out on the trail. Just a reminder to always think twice and im glad you buckled up man, you could of ended under the rig.
