I started tearing down my 40 tonight. I'll have parts up for grabs as I'm replacing the 350, radiator, tcase, 3spd (), tank, front bumper, and a ton of other stuff. Anyone like those round turn signals on the front fenders? I have them, and don't so those are going too!

Any help identifying model years of some of this stuff would be greatly appreciated! It looks like the PO's have mixed and matched this and that.

Unbolting the front apart went: standard/metric/broken. Hopefully there are enough bolt sets from CCOT and SOR to bring everything back the way it should be.

I'll grab some better pictures tomorrow. Hopefully I can come down there for the next get together and meet some of yall.

ps - I'm jealous of yalls last trip - it looked fun! I was in Wyoming stuck in a snowstorm on a friggen mountain!

Sell the stuff you are not going to use in the classified section. Ask us first though HA!

The GP is to take this down to the frame and build back up. Remove the 350 for a 6 liter vortec/th400/205ts'd. New pilgrim tub (real steel cruisers tub any good?), harness, well.. pretty much everything. The hardtop is almost done so I just said heck with it and tore the 40 apart as well.

Luckily I found a place that can dip everything except the tub (getting a new one anyway). I'm looking into the ICON's paint. It's rumored to be some sort of mil-spec powder coat. The whole thing is gonna be that dark grey with black accents (side vents, etc).

Anyone have 3 or 4 link suspension? I have a lot of ideas... step one is to tear this thing down :)

I'm pretty pissed at the POs (plural) lackluster paint job and half ass electrical work. There were two 8ga wires running under the friggen fuel tank! I'm sure it's insulated but I'm gonna steer clear of it.

As mentioned before, I'm gonna have a ton of parts for sale. The 350 is very very low mileage and runs just fine. The turn signals are off and ready to be sold. I'm not a huge fan of the round ones. What year are they from?

Also, anyone with a wiper motor on the bottom? .... is the wiper motor cap supposed to overlap the windshield seal?

Thanks! Please don't hesitate to contact me about some part you might need! Honestly the tub isn't in bad shape but I want a new one... it will need a home.

Post the tub on MUD and one of the folks up north will take it off your hands for sure.

This guy's about to make TLC4X4 blush.

Terrain? Mainly rocks only because I got tired of washing mud off this thing all summer. There will be a good bit of other stuff on the dash that I don't need to get too wet:
*Lowrance Chart Plotter
*Bullydog GS Triple tuner
*Digital gauge cluster
*other stuff :)

Yes that's a bunch of ****. Some of you might be thinking... all of that in the dash? Well, take a look: http://tinyurl.com/ykea7mu

Yes, I'm having a dash fabricated. My credibility with the purists has now went to ****. All of the electronic pieces above are being taken apart and faces are being made so that they blend in with the dash.

Shiney 350 for sale! *(plug)*
15" steelies with rubber (BFG) also for sale... 5 of them.. all new

I like the dash. The steering wheel kinda freaks me out though.

PMs sent

Thanks

Thanks for the link... looks like everything I need is on that page. I'll take some measurements and snap some pictures of that rear axle.

Everything ready for:

350/train removal
blast
coating

I've had the 6.0 pulled apart and cleaned/painted. Also throwing in a few extras (ls cam/heads/etc).

Gonna send the harness and 'puter off to Speartech. The harness isn't matching the injectors and vats/emissions need to be taken out. I'm assuming everyone suggests them? I've seen them (speartech) mentioned on a lot of boards. Really nice people over the phone.

sweet. are you going to powdercoat frame?

I believer there is a 4 link calculator program available on pirate4x4.com. i got it off of tv show xtreme
4x4 which if i remember correctly got it from pirate4x4 as well.

sweet. are you going to powdercoat frame?

I was until I cleaned it with some degrease stuff this afternoon. It looks pretty good. I may just coat it with that POR stuff and be done.

Got a turn-key 350 with the adapters ready for one of you guys...
a full soft top...
black steelies...
I'll list it all soon..

Sorry about the tires to whomever pm'd a few times... I snagged a '75 CJ5 and am putting them on it.

Not to beat the CJ down but.... lets say I'm ready to get my LC back rolling. I may even run it over with the LC. Who knows.

Try Rust Bullet for the frame. They always support our ride with a donation to the raffle. Easy one step stuff.

Later,

Give us some details on the soft top. Any pics? Might be interested.

Thanks
