When I put my lift on today I couldnt get the bolt/pin out of the rear spring hanger like i did with the others. the others just hit right out with a punch and hammer. well i tried with this one and it didnt work, so i put the bolt back on a little bit and hit it with a hammer and started turning the whole bolt at the same time. it worked but when I got the bolt out of course the threads were all messed up. soo my question is can I get a new one of these or should i try to re-thread it. and if not could i just knock that pin out of that wierd shaped end peice is has on it and put a bolt through there, or will the bolt not hold. its pretty funny that just about everybolt is original, and basically none of them gave me problems, most came out as if they were just put in. incase your wondering its the lower bolt that holds the spring in.

Thanks

Have seen this done, and have done it. Should not be that big of a deal, if you choose not to get a new frame pin...

Good luck!

OK, thanks. tomoro ill run it in the die, and see wat happens, it should work. Does anyone know where i can get a new hanger/pin?

I'd highly recommend greasable pins, they are way easier to work with than the stock ones, they reduce friction between the pin and spring bushings (this supposedly gives you a slightly smoother ride) and don't cost all that much; I baught mine through TPI for something like $24 each.

OK thanks guys, I just have to get it now before the body goes back on hopefully. The chances of the dealer having it in stock are probaly pretty slim.
