Rear Seats

Is there a difference in the rear seats or bottom brackets between a 69 and 74 pig?

I just put some rear seats in my 74 that I picked up elsewhere (I believe from an earlier year), and there is at least a 3-4 inch gap between the upright back rest and the seat.

I have a early year 69 and mine are super different from a 74. Mine have a donut type hook up for both the locked up position and down position. I imagine the size is also different as mine fold down differently as well.

Just went to the SOR website, and supposedly, the seats from 68-80 are all the same, including mounting brackets.

Maybe I have the back rest installed incorrectly. will have to check tomorrow.

I've seen Carmon's rear seat and it is nothing like the one in my '76. I might have a spare rear seat mount for on top of the wheel well if you need it.

I found the problem. The bottom seat that I put in had been reupholstered and had been done too tightly on the back edge. I put the original back in and it fit up snugly as it should.

Now I don't know what to do about it. The reupholstered one is in much better shape but doesn't fit as well. decisions, decisions...
