Did a search but was unable to find any rear seat options for a 72 FJ55. Anyone have any ideas what would work besides stock.

bolt up? try a recovered factory rear bench
without some (maybe more) fab work, you're not going to be swapping out the rear seat with anything you're gunna find at your local JY. a 60 series rear MIGHT be close and so I'll guess that the split rear bench from a non usa 60-62 would also be close. I have 2 spare rear benches in not terrible condition if you're in need...I'm in cen CAL

unfortunately I need to fab up something as a stock seat will no longer work. I have Suburban seats up front and was hoping someone new what would work in the rear as far as fit and being user friendly. Thanks for the replies.

I just can't them working. Saab 9000 seats don't have a flat bottom, and I don't think they have a flat back. I'm thinking something out of a minivan or SUV.
I also have a back seat you can have, but its a long drive to come get it.

might look at some third row fold and stow type dealies as they tend to be narrower and have flatter features, might be able to bump them back further into the wheel wells...
