Some asshat:flipoff2: decided to rear end me :censor:, fortunately I have a Kaymar with a tire carrier so the tire and carrier took the hit , flexed than hit the Lift gate hard and now it's tweaked bad.
@#%$ my 60 has no rust anywhere.... Arizona pinstrips yes but no @#$%ing rust. My 20 year old car with no body damage, never been in even a fender bender and now this @#$%.
You should see the guys 05 silverado :flipoff2:
Nuff said about good parts.

Now I need the steel parts only, no glass or hardware. the closer Ca. to me the better. Anyone that's got what I need let's chat
No rust necessary.
Thanks

No pictures, but I can tell it's a long list of parts, starting with a hood, fender, head light, grill, and bumper!

That will teach me to go to McD's for a fish sand on good friday at lunch time. The guy had 4 kids w happy meals in the truck, trying to turn left at a no left turn on to a major road while I was minding my own turning right (correctly).

He does'nt want it on his insurance (go figure), so I think I'll buy the parts have them painted and stiff him enough for the leg work, labor and pain and suffering to get a can holder for the other side of my Kaymar!:flipoff2:

Anyone got any Ideas?

James

Tell him that you had to replace your rear bumper. You go out and get yourself a new one (on him) and I'll buy if off you (hopefully for not too much $$) because I need a rear bumper......

Don't do it... If he has insurance, go thru them. You are the one who
will be hosed otherwise. Believe me...

With as much damage to his car, don't you think he is going thru his insurance???

You will come out ahead if you do. You will get the short end if you don't...

Hope you got a police report just in case the "I don't want to go thru insuranmce" falls thru...

You should tell your insurance and get his info- you will get screwed if you dont.

Thanks guys for the replies.
I did get all the insurance info just in case. I also live in a small town and he owns a business here so he's not going any where.
I'm not worried I got wittnesses too!
I was just very pissed off when I started the thread.

Still need a lift gate!

Since he is paying, why not just go to Toyota and get a brand spanking new one. I believe they are around $550.

Glad you are ok.

Yeah, go for the $OR parts, or genuine Toyota! :D

Also, how's that Kaymar? Need a new one? :D I may know someone who could use a cheap rear bumper... ;)

Yep, by law in California, you have to report any accident with damage that total over a certain amount. I believe it's $500 or so.

Just cover yourself so you don't get screwed later on!

Well the aformentiond hat, after finding out what his truck repair costs are wants to now turn it into his insurance.

breaks down like this

Lift gate repair and paint $647
Kaymar tire carrier $603
New wheel $100

His

Hood repair $
new head light $
New bumper$
new grill$
Front 1/4 repair$

Turning right in a landcruiser at an intersection marked right turn only when someone behind you wants to turn left w 4 kids w happy meals........priceless.

Happy ending!
Insurance check on the way.....
Time to order more goodies.

James
