Hey guys, been a while since I've been on here.

I just noticed my aftermarket rear diff breather is leaking. What do you recommend for a diff breather now? I don't need to relocate it, just a standard deal will do.

Marlin Crawler makes a pretty slick little kit. I just put it on mine and it works as advertised.

So I took the TG diff breather off, as I did so, a lot of air was released.. "psssssssssssss". Think my diff ate Mexican food, not sure :p It was under a good amount of pressure

I live in a pretty hot area (summer time is consistently over 100 degrees) so I'm not sure these are the best idea for my area. I put the stocker breather back on for now. I think all the pressure in that little tube was pushing oil out of the sea where the valve connects to the nipplel. I'm not running through mud or water (for now) so I'll do the Marlin relocate deal if I find I need it during the winter in heavy rains.

Sounds like your stock breather is clogged. Take it back off and soak it in solvent or cleaner so it "breaths". Or put the new Marlin one on. If it can't breath, it builds up pressure. If neglected it will push the gear oil out through your wheel bearing seals. While you're at it, check your front diff breather if you have 4x4. Simple to do and pays off in the long run.
Edit: Sorry-my bad-- just re-read your posts. You may be able to salvage the TG breather by cleaning it.

Thanks for the reply, I cleaned up the stocker breather real good. I'm just going to leave that on for now..
