Rear combination lamps

okay so I broke my rear tail light and would like to order a new set. But upon looking online im only finding the ones for the 75 troopy. I need the ones for the 70. Looking at pictures they seem to look exactly alike but the part numbers are different when i cross check them. I know for sure that some part numbers are different but basically is same thing and can work but I would like to know if there is anyone that can tell me whether or not the troopy tail lights will work or not as they look the same.

try a search on here. I seem to remember this discussion before and if I remember correctly they are not interchangeable. did you try a google search with the right part numbers? try beno?

@coldtaco it seems as though the 4 doors wont interchange with the 2 doors I know about as they are shapped different. But looking at the pictures of the 75 troopy they look exactly alike with that of the 70/73 and shaped the same way just different part numbers.

They are available for my SWB 70, a 1990.

I think I also remember that thread as well but....I second Beno. If anyone here can confirm compatibility between two different P/Ns then it would be him for sure.

It depends a lot on the market for which it was intended and the years. After 90 some countries like Australia, changed their requirements. But other countries continued using the old type as late as 06.
These 2 have a broad usage across many models including the pre 90 75 troopy and
the 05/1993-03/1996 KZJ70LV-MNX

@roscoFJ73 thanks it's puzzling because on ebay it says it's for 70/75 so I wanted to know if it would work. And seeing I couldn't get the answer I just bought the genuine ones and paid the extra

Its puzzling alright, looking at the parts numbers, markets and which models they suit drives you nuts.
