i used my old cardboard ones as a template to cut new ones out of 1/2" plywood.
i covered it with one of those industrial carpeted floor mats, like the ones you see inside a store, to wipe your feet on. 36" x 60" at the depot, and it did both sides. 19 bucks.
use vinyl carpet adhesive.
if it ever stops raining here, i will take pics of that AND my new Iron Pig bumper setup

I'm thinking along these lines. I may find some knotty pine or perhaps something nicer. How do you open your them? Yes, pics....

i put speed nuts ( threaded clips) where the push in plugs would go, and used flat-head sheet metal screws with finishing washers. lits of screws, but i dont need to open it up often.
