Anyone had success gluing a bump stop back on? If so, how?

Good idea but see OP’s question. 😃

I bought some for my 80. My 100 I service with regular parts and even if I wanted these for it I couldnt get them in time hence why I need a repair currently.

After you glue it, I'd wrap the entire thing in a cut piece of bike tube. So even if the glue fails, the rubber won't fall off.

If you have your old 80 bumpstops, they are interchangeable on the 100.

1997 80 Series Bumpstop: 48306-60090
2000 100 Series Bumpstop: 48306-60140

The 100 Series is much more low profile.

Then if using old 80 series ones, you can cut them down. You still have the inner coil bump stops too, right?

My hundy doesn’t as it has airbags. The 80 series has a pretty substantial metal bracket so there wouldn’t really be anything left of it if you cut it down to the right size.

Well, after a lot of cleaning, wire wheel, and ultrasonic cleaning with evaporust ready to JB weld. This looked like layered rust where it came apart. Rubber is in excellent condition.

Assembled. Cool thing about the metal plate that was rusted enough to be rough is that it should help it bond better. According to instructions 24 hours will be a full cure.
