I'm doing the rear brakes on my 2000 LX470. I fully understand where the four pad support plates (green box in picture) go on each caliper, but I have one clip on each caliper that I cannot figure out (red box in picture). It fell out when I was disassembling the calipers before I could spot where it goes. I've searched the forum, watched YouTube videos, and read the brake section in the FSM without any luck. Any help would be much appreciated.

That clip should go into the inside brake pad: It is a wear indicator clip.
