hey gang, just picked up a 2009 lx570 with about 120k km on the clock. Nice ride so far and I’m getting to know it a little more each day. One thing that I can’t sort out is the rear a/c. We have our dogs in the back behind the second row. I’ve set the rear hvac to auto and temp to low. Front a/c blows ice cold but the rear blows room temp air. Not any colder than ambient...

Thoughts?

-On the main screen, hit climate button. If 4-Zone is highlighted on screen, press it so that it is not highlighted.
-Make sure “Rear” button below screen is lit.
Make sure AC button is lit.
-Now use ONLY the temp adjust buttons (up arrow and down arrow by vent) nearest the driver seat and hit the down arrow til it says low.

This will override any and all rear seat settings changed in back. Do not touch anything other than the up/down arrows on anything other than the up/down nearest driver of it will re-activate and you stop controlling other settings.

If it still does not cool in the rear...you have something that needs fixing.

If it DOES cool now, you might have an issue with the rear controls and need to override them by deactivating 4-zone control as above.

Or...you may have just discovered how this system works.

Curious what you’ll discover.

My rear ac takes a while to start cooling compared to the front ac. Have you driven for a long time with both on to see if eventually the rear starts cooling?

Drove around a fair bit but will try the control override

Ok so control override didn’t work. Meaning when turning 4zone off so all on one zone and turning to low it’s not cold out rear roof vents. Rear console vents are cool.

Blend doors?
