rear 60 gear ratio?

Hey there new to the 60 series stuff.

But i picked up a rear 60 for cheap for my swap and Iam wondering what R&P ratio it has. I searched for and found a chart but its not helping.

The numbers that i can see on the diff are D 4111, not sure if that means 4:11 or what .

Also will be looking for the matching front if anyone has one.

it's probably a 3.7, they usually were.

there were some 4.1 diffs out there, I think in the auto hj60's, but no where near as common.

What are you swapping it into? I have old 40 series axles (1975 front and rear but without diffs) you can have cheap!

I will be building up a par of 60 diffs to swap into my landrover disco at some point.
Cheaper then building up the weak landrover diffs.

4111 willbe 3.73 41 ring and 11 pinion = 3.73

the numbers are stamped on the ring gear. spin it until you see the multiples

Auto or manual tranny? I know for HJ60s the auto came with 4.11 and the manual had 3.70.

You need to see the ring gear to find out for sure. You can also just spin the yoke and count revs of the wheels

Thanks guys, I'll be pulling this axle all apart,and I think I'll just dump in some new gears anyway maybe 4:88.
Oh and didn't Seapotato do this swap in a series landrover, mine is a Discovery 95.

I think his was rover body onto cruiser frame/driveline...
