Got it home

Frozen caliper off of Murray Ridge, Converse Street. Heading back over there with Money to see if I can pull it off and drive it home. Any one in the area have any ideas of what I can do? Thinking about pullin it off zip tie the brake line and drive home. Just enough to get back in the drive way. Cell 858-254-3089
Thanks
Vince

Pulled it

I pulled it and hung it on the control arm. Did a brake check and shot a cylinder out and started losing brake fluid. Good thing I brought s ***T load of zip ties. The combination of a C-clamp and zips i was able to lock the four pistons in place and not lose them while driving. Called Toyota and ordered new front ones at 350 each with new hoses. Even with 15% off total was high. Was out looking for a house when this happened. Just added more debt.:crybaby:

you never know what you might need on the trail. I have broken a brake line out wheeling and clamped it off and drove home. scary yes, but you got to do what you got to do!

How I tied up my caliper, just some info that I thought I could share. This would have been a little better if I clamped the hose.

are you going to rebuild them?
If not, I'd take them off your hands for a small pittance if you haven't given them to the dealer for core charge yet.

New Calipers

So the new ones are in, it took a day due to a stuck brake line bolt on the driver side along with clearing some debris out on my front diff breather hose. I was fearing that the passenger rotor was warp but after a long drive and some decent breaking no pulsating.

Congrats on having the rig back in shape, and nice MacGyver with the zip ties and c-clamp.
