picked up a 97 recently for a build. Phase 1 is just cleaning things up to make it driveable... Phase 2 is 2UZ swap (already have the engine and swap parts)....
So dumb random questions to follow....
Slide out cupholder question... Tabs are broken, of course, so i picked up a replacement on the interwebs. The slide out itself is about 1mm wider than factory, so it will not fit in the factory receiver. NBD, I figured, as the new one came with the receiver/mount.... But... how the heck does one get the factory receiver/mount out? It appears that the entire dash needs to be removed to get to the 4 screws.... is that correct or am I missing something? Replaced a few of these on the 3rd gen pickup/2nd gen 4runner, but they mount to the HVAC bezel - which is entirely removable. Anyway... that's today's random question... how do I get the mount out?
