Wanted-FJ40 Rear Step

I am looking for a OEM rear step for my '73 FJ40. It is the step with the mounting tabs facing inward. I am also in need of the small pull switch that was for the interior light.

I would like a step that is straight and hasn't been reworked. (I can always wish can't I :D)

The other real problem with that one is it matches an extra one I have that has the tabs out.

But wouldn't that be the correct one for a '73? Their picture doesn't differentiate between later and earlier steps. It may be that the tabs in would be what you actually get. I see they changed 9/73. What month is your rig?

:'(Unfortunately it's a 10/72. One of those sweet transition year models. I do have a leg out step but the holes won't line up. I am at that "I need to get the last load of black items to the powder coater" period. So thought I'd see if I could get some help for the last little items.

Hey on a side note don't you have a 1973 FJ40 OEM softop model? Do you have the original canvas? I bought a canvas OEM "copy" from rick d a while back. But, I am always looking for some pics of an original one so I could get an exact repro made some day. Also a photo showing the exact attachment of the door straps would be cool. For some reason I think the previous owner may have changed them (not sure?).

I have an older fj40 myself (9/70), so I need the leg-in in order to fit correctly, too. I have a leg-out model like you do, and have forced the two upper bolt holes, and left the two lower ones empty. :( I was hoping from your "73" you could use the later version.

I don't have an OEM softtop, either.

i think the ehsan soft tops are close replicas. theres a couple threads with pics on here, and a thread in the manufacturing on ordering.

i am looking for a front fender for a 1968 fj40 the passanger side . some ditzy lady in an suvsmashed into one and i really need one.

i know its off the subject but i really really need a front passanger side fender. some ditzy lady on a mini van decided it would be fun to dent my new paint job :doh: . i am currently placing a law suit on her :ban: ha ha. so if anyone has one it would be greatly appreciated.
