Thanks for the help.  I recently gave up and just bought the whole AA kit for way cheap at MAF.  It was about $200 less than from AA.

if you dont care if theyre original, tlc.com has brand new ones from brazil made for the fj40's they make there. was around $300 for the kit.

I have looked at those, but they are not setup for a factory softtop. If I was going to do the surgery to make one of those work, I might as well do the surgery needed to make the swing out doors work.

I am not committed to keeping everything stock, but I really do like the idea of a bolt on option.
