Movement of the tablet is minimal Offroad. The flexible arm is an alloy that does a good on of staying put but flexible enough for ideal placemwnt

I have the same setup as @gentimmy on my 2016. I’ve had it for two years. If the passsenger doesn’t mind (my passenger doesn’t) then it works great. I actually use both the infotainment screen (in Home mode so I can have other info displayed and the Map in one orientation) and then I’ll have Earthmate and/or Google Maps on my iPad. If going off pavement I may have a GPX track loaded into Earthmate and possible a trai guide book such as Funtreks up in split screen mode.

Oh, and when I don’t need the iPad I rotate the holder so it is horizontal and I have a hand made table that we use for serving lunch or I sometimes use for fiddling with my camera gear. I even used it to hold my Mac while doing a conference call in the middle of nowhere back in the day when I was working.

BTW, I use an 11” iPad Pro with the Smart Keyboard attached and the keyboard folded back. I have the RAM holder that covers the top and bottom and slides to open. Not the one that looks like a spider. I cut out part of the holder at the top (I use the iPad in “portrait orientation”) so that the FaceID camera can see my face though I need to lean a little that way so I am close enough. Works great. I also have “Hey Siri” enabled on my iPad but not on my phone.
