RAGBRAI 2009 - Anyone planning to ride?

Just posting to see if anyone's planning to do RAGBRAI this year.

i would but my sweet shiftin' bike E tandem recum will be in the paint booth that week.

edit: the truth is i've worked at bike shops for the last 9 years in missouri and would get asked about that ride non stop.

sounds like a drunken good time from what i can tell have fun.

Last time I rode this I was half my age, so I'm just not sure I'll be able to handle the get up at 6, ride quickly to the next stop, sleep all afternoon, then party until 2 AM routine...

I'm not planning on riding the 09 version, but I did it about 8 years ago. Lots of fun. Most of the towns were 'drunk dry' by the time I rode into them. I'm not much of a drinker, so it didn't matter much to me.

It's a lot of fun, but usually the same time as the TDF- which I don't like to miss.

Sure, but somebody inevitably spoils all the good stuff by blabbing....

And, besides- I went OTA last year. (Over the air broadcast only, no cable, no dish, no TiVo). I get much better HD signal OTA than with the pricey dish/cable add-ons.
