Radio/CD player mounting bolts

Hi all, I can't seem to locate these on parts diagrams, but there are 4 bolts that have a hex head with a JIS pattern in them that hold the radio/cd player to the chassis. There are other bolts on the diagrams but they're for holding the brackets to the cd player itself. I don't have a clear image of one of mine to post, but they appear gold-ish in colour and I'm missing 2 of the 4 of them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wonder if 90149-50032 would be a suitable replacement...EPC shows these are apparently cd player mounting bolts too. Different design to what's in there though.

They're 90149-50032 or 93385-15016, (4) req'd. They both work.

These were often (at least, here) removed, lost and replaced by "professional" stereo installers. What you have pictured is what you need.

What's interesting, is that both of these bolts look different to the ones that came from factory, but arent listed that they supersede an old part number, but it's evident they've changed them.

Part number 93385-16016 (different to the 93385-15016 you shared), has the same style head, but still has a floating captive washer, whereas the originals are a single piece design with no floating washer, they use an integral flange.

I don't really care what it looks like, if they fit and do the job, that's all I care about.

As more of a "I'm curious" exercise, I've ordered:

2 x Toyota 93385-15016
2 x Toyota 90149-50032
1 x Toyota 93385-16016

I'll comment on the fitment of each and whether there's any benefit to any of the variants listed above. I suspect they'll probably all fit and do the job.

I'm also having trouble locating the 2 screws that hold the ashtray in.. I tried to order 90168-40050 but they're discontinued, and I'm not even sure they're the correct ones.

I have also ordered 2 x 90168-40048, but also not sure if these are it either. I can't actually see on the EPS the 2 screws that hold it in, but any screws that have come up and are still available for the ash receptacle, I've ordered, so I guess we'll see what arrives.

I've also looked at the EPS for the Instrument panel & glove compartment and can't see them on that either.. maybe the 93568-55014 will do the job.

These instrument panel screws are everywhere in every Toyota here. When I make a trip to the salvage yard, I pick up as many usable ones as I can put in my tool bag. I have a parts bin just for these (14) screws and nuts...and the (4) stereo screws.

Thanks Fred, the screw chart in particular is helpful, what's not helpful are all the people dad had do jobs in the cruiser that have lost many of the original screws and put others in that arent even the right sizes and threads... I'm slowly replacing them all with the proper ones, nearly there


Getting all the dash facias and centre console re-painted this week, so a good opportunity when I install them to replace all the screws with the right ones and have it all nice and tight to avoid any rattles.

Pete, I feel your pain. I'm going through the same on a customer's truck right now. Every nut bolt and washer is wrong.

Here's a trick Lexus uses to cut down on noise: all the body (interior fascia) clips and whatnot have felt washers behind them. Lexus has a part number for them in various sizes, or you could cut them yourself.

That chart is in the service manual.

I did notice the felt near the seems and clips on the back of mine even! That makes perfect sense, thank you!
