Running a double din unit in a 1998 100.
My old unit touch screen is gone making very difficult to use the nav.
I am looking at a quality branded double din solution (no cheap chinese) giving me radio, reverse cam, carplay and DAB radio.
Is there any recommendation ? I want a quality item giving me 10+ years of service
Can I still use the OEM antena and add a device for DAB reception ?

So your climate controls are not integrated into the touch screen right? separate dials down below? If yes then you've got options

Hit up Crutchfield they will know what works

My 02 cruiser has climate integrated and there doesn't seem to be any reliable solutions out there

For non integrated climated I think any double din will work with the right wire harness. I really like the Sony ax4000 unit. Pushable buttons and more advanced touch screen Here

I’m happy with my pioneer DMH-1800NEX from Crutchfield. <$300, easy install, does not look too out-of-place in the dash, bright screen with nice resolution, plug and play factory-like sound quality. I did not install the optional reverse cam or Sirius, but the HU came with hookups. I keep all the stock speakers and wiring. My only gripes:

- tiny capacitive touch buttons. Wish it had a dial for volume
- CarPlay is occasionally flaky at start but works great once it connects.
- the Metra HU-to-car harness adapter is short by one wire that needs to be vampire-clipped to the vehicle harness. I don’t like to disturb factory wiring, so I nicely asked Crutchfield to ship an extra adapter, from which I scavenged the missing wire.

Also, if you buy a Pioneer, they are wired so that you cannot access the settings menu unless the car is in park. This is accomplished with a green wire that goes to a particular circuit in the kick panel fuse box. However, that wire is just looking for a ground, FYI.
