Hello everyone

I searched and did not find the answer, nor find it in the fsm.

I'm swapping in an ADD 4.88 front diff to replace my manual hub diff. I want to swap the manual tube over to the ADD diff. I have both diffs out and both tubes off, but part of the ADD collar or gear is stuck on the diff side.

Is there a trick to get this bit of ADD off of the diff? The fsm shows removing the add tube w/ that piece attached to the add tube.
Do I need a puller?

I also see two holes in the sides of the little gear. Are these for oiling or do they contain set screws?

When I do get it out, will i need a similar type oil seal that is on the manual tube diff? I remember seeing something about this in another thread, but I cannot locate it at the moment.

Pics to explain.

well that was easier than i thought.

I used two screwdrivers to pry it out

The dealer parts guy took about 30min to find the new seal.

a 54mm wheel hub socket worked like a charm to install the new seal.

I'll post up some more pics and part numbers for later reference.
