So, I just picked up a 48" Hi Lift, but I got the "Stamped/Cast" model instead of the all "Cast". While both have the same lifting capacity, etc., it seems that the red Cast model I saw at JT's was just a bit more robust. One point is that the base plate doesn't seem as solid. So, now I'm wondering if I should have gotten the red one. I bought the black one because it was in stock. Yep, sometimes I'm impatient.

SO, the question is, anyone think I should return the Stamped/Cast model (Black) and spring for the all Cast model (Red)?

They did have a green (?) Cast 48" Hi Lift there, too. They said it was the same as the red, but the green was some Hi Lift anniversary special color that didn't prove to be very popular. Anyone ever see this?

To wrap up--would you guys buy the stamped/cast or the all cast Hi Lift? I'm thinking I know the answer.

Thanks, guys. I'll stick with what I have.

Get or make one of those adapters for the jack that I have. It works great and keeps the jack from slipping off the tube. We can make a copy if you want as well, jsut gotta get some material.

I found those online--definitely want to get one or make one.

Since the first issue was addresed.... Get a can of green spray paint;)

If I paint it, I think I'll go for some hippie tie-dye paint job. .. . that'd be pretty fly.:grinpimp:
