Question about motor location

Does the factory piggy motor sit in the center of the frame rails ?
The SBC conversion on my piggy is 2cm over the passengers side (US drivers side).
I'm thinking this is maybe to clear the steering box.
I only noticed when i went to mount a engine fan shroud to the radiator. I also seen on eBay a 60 series cruiser radiator that the shroud is off set to suit SBC

When I put my sbc in, I placed the motor a little bit towards the drivers side in order to keep the drivelines looking relatively straight. Maybe 1/2 inch. Mostly I just tried to center it. I think 2 cm is pretty slight.
