Just got back from an overnight family trip to Kofa National wildlife refuge.

We left West Phx at 8:30 and arrived at our first destination about 10:30.

Air down and started the sight seeing.

We started Dripping springs. Trail took about 45 minutes to get to the site. Sadly there were too many bees to enjoy. We stayed about 30 minutes too explore and hike a bit.

After dripping springs, we headed south to catch I-95 and headed south for about 20 miles to reach Kofa.

Once we exited we hit about 10 miles of trail before we got to our campsite.

We set up camp and headed out for our night trail.

Before dinner we got another trail. Skull Rock. Got a chance to try out my new LED bar on my new roof rack.

Trails about 45 minutes and kids had fun.

It was pretty dark so most pictures didn't come out very good.

The next morning we had breakfast burritos. Broke down camp late about 9:30 and headed out to our morning scenic hike Palm Canyon.

Palm canyon is a Quick 30 minute hike one way.

Because we left camp so late,

We were not able to continue south on 95 and do one more trail.

This would have had us arriving in phx about 6.

So we headed North to Quartszite, ate pizza with the kiddos and headed home.

We got some rain but it wasn't too bad.

Would do it again but next time an extra day would be better.

Great write up, thanks for sharing ...looks like you all had a great time
