Anybody bought replacement quarter panels from either of these guys?

toyotafiberglass.com
alfaparts.net/Wolf Steel Restorations

I want to fix my rust right. Don't know if I want fiberglass or not, but those are the only two I've found so far. Besides Toyota $$$.

if you do a search on YotaTech there has been a fair amount of discussion regarding this issue. A lot of people speak very highly of the work toyotafiberglass.com. There are even some videos on there about how durable the fibreglass replacement quorters are. I am going to be doing this with my truck and am for sure going with these guy's. I am Canadian though.

Best of luck,
Cheers.

Thanks for the reply. I'm still considering the fiberglass. Sure would be tough. But then I'd want the rest of the truck to be fiberglass, too.

I might just go with the metal, and keep it a lot cleaner than it's been the last 20 years. We get some road salt in Kentucky, but not nearly as much as we used to.

the toyotafiberglass.com stuff is nice ... 1 time deal .. the metal stuff comes in 3 pieces  it has to be stich welded , and is NOT even the whole panel ??????
the glass is wayyy stronger and will last a life time .. nuFF said .

Yeah, the one piece idea of the fiberglass definitely appeals to me.

But I'm not doing the body work. I'll ask the guy who is which he'd rather mess with. And which he'd charge more for.

1/4 install

check out the install ... from what I understand they are quite easy to install , and most guys do it themselves , and then send it to the body shop for paint . I think the toughest thing , is getting them . guys usually booked up for 6 months .

Thanks for the link. Doesn't look too bad.

Toyota might also still have some NOS 1/4's available, if you insist on metal. I paid $550/side back in 1995... sold them before I used them to a guy who made bed sides for his pickup with them.

X2 on the guy being booked up. I emailed him to get replacement fibreglass parts for my 88, he said he wouldn't be able to have them done until March.

Seriously, it would be well worth your while to take the time, spend the money, do it once and get the fibreglass - you will not regret it@

I was hoping to get it done sometime soon, but you're right, I might as well do it once and be done, even if I have to wait on the panels.
