I just put the cap/roof back on my 4Runner after having it off all summer.
I did it in the dark, so I may have missed something, but I can't get the rear window to go up.
I slid the roof on by myself, and all the bolts lined up fine. I tightened it, and the roof sits they way it should. rear gate opens and closes fine.
I reconnected the multi-plug that runs the rear wiper, and the plastic tube that supplies the window cleaner.
The window won't go up.
I checked the switch... fine.
Rear gate lock is locked.
Window lock switch is not engaged.
I'm wondering if I might have damaged the safety switch (the one that keeps the window from being raised when the roof is off) when sliding the roof back on. Where is that switch located? If it's broken, how can I bypass it?
???
