They charged me $45 for both hitches and the 4 tow hooks. Got them back full of sanding crap and covered with dust, and wiped them off with damp rag, then brake cleaner soaked rag. Then primed grey Krylon, then satin black Krylon. Took a single can to do two coats - not really a lot of surface area.

Dried overnight and installed. They look great. Still trying to find some replacement bolts with 17mm heads. Easy to find with 19mm heads, but i don't think they'll fit into the recovery hooks - kind of a tight fit with 17s. So Toyota must have had these specially made. Thinking about using the bolts from the front bumper I replaced with the ARB fasteners.

OK, scratch that. Just checked and the run of the mill 19mm head 12M 8.8 grade screws will fit into the hooks. I'd rather have properly rated new fasteners back there on the trailer hitch so that's my plan.

Pics of freshly painted hitches? I'm planning to remove and sandblast mine in the near future as well. Luckily, a friend has a sandblaster. It'll be a party--all five wheels and the hitch and recovery hooks at the same time.

Wonder what else I could blast? It's a green truck, so Beowulf would probably suggest all the body panels . . . :D
