Daughter just texted. While making her way from Colorado > Vermont with her mtn. bike on top she drove into a parking garage. DOH!....I haven't seen the carnage yet but I get the feeling its not going to "buff out".....Be careful out there kids!

A friend did it in his own garage.
They were going on vacation and he put the bikes on the roof inside the garage because it was raining…. Then backed out.

the impressive part is the cathedral ceiling in the garage that they have enough room to load a bike on the roof inside
I've done it. Luckily, one of my front tire straps was damaged so it tore apart and the bike just pivoted over and dented my trunk.
