good morning all

so last night i installed the daily driver prp seat in my 96, i ordered a seat bracket from planted technologies and cant be happier. https://www.plantedtechnology.com/planted-seat-bracket-toyota-land-cruis

driver-left.html and then just made my seat bracket attach to that and bam, not even an hour and was completely done. i do have to take it out and so some minor tweeking, i may angle the seat a bit forward. it even had the mount for the seat belt. that will require a bit of tuning because it is hitting the seat so i need to bend it out. but over all OMG awesome

not adjustable, but with the right bracket it could be. I am still thinking about getting said bracket. but its low on the list because i am the only one who drives it

no back issues that i am aware of. i do want to seat to tilt a bit more forward for my liking because in the reclined position i think my back may protest if i drove it a long time. i also got the 2 inch extra wide seat too.

Reclined position?
 
not sure on what to do with the old one but open to trades or sell for sure, just let me have a week on this new seat to make sure i like it. so far its the cats meow.

Your passenger one is in better shape than mine for sure. IDK if the DS has a broken rail along the top left side there or not.

I'm interested, but I'd be more interested in manual seats with cloth.........

i feel the bar or something on the drivers seat left side when i get in and out all the time almost like no cushion there at all.
 
How is this combo holding up? I’m going down this route as my stock seats are shot.
 
I’ve started on this one. Plan is to have the seats mounted this weekend and I’ll figure out wiring and switches for the seat heaters later.
The planted mounts fit the the floor ok. The seat brackets on the other hand not so much. Setup the drivers side and had to drill holes for the back of the seat. I’ll be doing it again as the seat is to far driver and the seat is almost hitting the pillar.
Looks like I’ll be bending that seat belt post too.
What did you get for bolts to mount the seat belt end?
Also what did you use for brackets from the seat to the planted base?

i had a piece of angle iron going down the seat and it was bolted to the seat and them bolted to bracket.

the seat belt if i recall i used the original bolt. but cant remember.

you could use these also

I did the slider kit from PRP it’s the hole pattern for the slider to the planted base is where my issues lie. Not a huge a deal I’ll get it sorted just have drill some holes.

i also used one of them sliders and they dont do well with dirt and grime, i am in open buggy so they see all the dust and grime all the time sucks alot actually but they still slide with enough effort :)
