I have a pristine rear diff from my 1999 LX470 that I would like to move to my 2002 LC100. A few months ago, I replaced the steel and rubber brake lines from the fuel tank to the wheels with new OEM parts on the LC100. I understand the brake line differences between the 99 LX and the 02 LC due to ATRAC. I will need to move and make some mounting points for the 02 LC dual lines to the single-line LX axle. I've done more complex modifications through the years.
LSD on the 99 LX was still working when I parked it last year. I always liked the LSD unit because it reminded me of my youth driving an old GM 12 bolt posi-trac (e.g., Olds 442). Yeah, it would still do the fishtail dance when losing traction.
I understand the limitations and the simplicity. I will be moving the fromt diff and eLocker from the LX470 eventually
Here's a picture of the 99 LX LSD rear axle.
@hoser What would you do?
