I'm starting a new project ..... on the cheap. See'n how Debi wheel's my 40 way more then I do and we both miss having it as a vehicle to drive around town (but we ain't gonna buy a jeep :flipoff2: ). So the we're keep'n the 40 for and gonna make a little more street friendly and build a Formula Toyota type buggy. I won't be competition legal .... may not even be street legal, but it should be fun.

I'm calling it the "Budget Buggy" cuz Debi said I gotta build it CHEAP or get rid of it. Here's what I've got so far;

'85 Toyota LB pick up frame - FREE
Extra 22r motor and tranny - case of beer
22r motor, tranny and T-case - FREE from a rust-bucket '79
Second t-case - $70 (but it's been rebuilt)
F-Toy chassis - $700
FJ60 front axle - $?? thanks Butch!!!!
FJ60 rear axle - $50

I still gotta find some 4.88 gears, decide on the suspension (think'n about 4 link and coils), lockers, and some big 'ol tires.

I'm hoping to build this thing for 4K or less and have it ready Katemcy '08. Both may be a stretch but ya gotta set some goals somewhere I guess.
