Joined the LC family back in May 2019. Finally was able to save enough to get my dream vehicle. Don't get me wrong, loved driving it since day one; however something was missing. Well that all changed this week when the start of my build happened...here is a before and after. Now to find some trails.

I have a new to me LX in white and am looking at getting Method wheels as well. I haven’t liked the bronze wheels on anything until now... what size tires did you get?

Thanks, happy with the way it looks. I’m running 285/70/17

Those look gorgeous, great contrast to the white paint.

Very nice! What’s the offset on the Method wheels? Any rubbing to speak of?

We removed the front mudflaps and has minor cutting of plastic under the wheel well. Not sure what the offset is, believe it is 0"...

Did the cutting leave any part of the truck vulnerable to road salt entering? I have the same wheels ready to mount but with 275/70/17 KO2s and live in a snowy state. Want to mount but don’t want salt to cause corrosion issues if I have to trim the fender liner.

I'm in Minnesota, the land of 10,000 Lakes and 7 months of Winter which results in converting the entire state into one big salt block. The trimming was minimal, as far as I can tell. That said, there is no getting away from salt and the chemicals thrown up from the road spray.
I have looked into getting an undercoating or using Fluid Film, but the jury is out on whether or not either would stop eventual rusting. That and there are 0 companies in Minnesota that apply Fluid Film...

Applying Fluid Film is very simple. Amazon sells a 6can bundle that is more than enough to liberally spray under the 200. spend another few dollars to add a hand trigger on the can and you're set.
