Private subforum access requests and approvals

With the new website format, how do members request access to specific private only subforums like our CLCC private section?
Similarly, are there changes in the access approval process by subforums Moderators?

Unfortunately, that plugin hasn't yet ported over to the new software. All that needs to be done by me.
