Price on a Warn Winch 8274

I have the chance to buy a warn einch 8274 model. The winch is in really good condition. The guy told me $.800.00. It is in good shape not abused, looks to have been covered and the truck was stored inside. Would it fit on my 07 fj cruiser?? Any help would be appreciated.

I have seen prices range from $250 - $600 on a Warn 8274. I have seen the 8274-50 sell from $500 - $900.


I sold one of my 8274's to a club member who helps me out a lot for $250.

I sold another 8274 to some guy last Sat for $700 and it came with a new cable and good controller. (It has been posted in my for sale thread since last Thanksgiving.)


You know you will have to buy a bumper to mount it right?

Yeah, I figured I would be getting a new bumper to get a winch, its a trickle down affect with stuff like this.

Check for bumpers that will mount an 8274 on a FJCruiser. That's a tall winch. Most bumper/mounts I've seen for the FJC incorporate planetary-silhouette winch mounts. Most likely, accommodating the 8274 on an FJC will result in more front overhang than with most winches by virtue of its form-factor.

+1, there are no FJC bumpers that I know of that will take an 8274, my guess is you'd have to make one for it. That's one big winch to fit on something with as little room up front as the FJC. Unless your budget is large, you'd be much better off buying a planetary winch and an off-the-shelf aftermarket bumper to hold it.
