pressure washer and air compressor

This question will reveal that I, in fact, do not know s***, I am sure.

Anyone know of an affordable pressure washer and on-board (portable) air compressor? Say, $250 or less.

Obviously an electric is preferred (for the on-board air compressor aspect), but a gas or diesel (as if) one would be just fine too, I would just not make it on-board.

Anyone make one that can do both things?

It depends on what you mean by on-board. Vehicle? Trailer? Boat?

Well, I'm not sure as I know very little about these. My needs: Something to run air tools off of and something to power a pressure washer.

So do you want a pump that will compress air or pump water? I don't think that's gonna happen although I could be wrong. The pumps are much different.

Still not sure I understand the question. If you are looking for an on board unit that acts as a pressure washer and air compressor you're SOL. I'm not sure why you'd want both in one?

If you want a truck mounted air source with enough volume to power air tools then CO2 is the simplest solution. Most on-board compressors will handle airing up tires fine but won't run air tools without a holding tank and frequent stops for the compressor to catch up. CO2 provides plenty of volume but no way to replenish in the woods. As long as you have a large enough bottle for your planned excursion CO2 will work fine.

If you're wanting a portable pressure washer then a gas powered unit is the way to go. The inverter required to power an electric pressure washer would kill even a double battery set in no time. There was a good thread a while back on pressure washer selection.

Not sure if that's any help at all but maybe you could expand on what you're wanting?
