hmmm..... Pacifico instead of coolant in the block so if you are lost someplace you can still have a good brew?

Might go well with the much respected burrito mod. I have been meaning to do the burrito mod but haven't had the time to get something together :)

EXTRA food and water.. keyword EXTRA.. plan on having a seperate stash to last you at least 3 days that you do not plan on touching/using unless of an emergency situation.

Senor,
At least one come-along, also known as a "Power Pull". It is a hand operated steel cable ratchet that can be used to keep all sorts of components cabled together that have come apart at inopportune times.
I used to go wheeling in Baja many years ago, I envy you!

Gracias Amigo,

I have two come-alongs--bought them at costco :) I do need to buy a winch but I went with all of the other mods first-- There are at least 8 other trucks going and 90% have winches. A month or two ago before I got the 35's I had the original LTX and got really stuck in the mud--I stopped before I had the axles buried--still had a couple inches of clearance--two trucks were pulling on me--One had an warn 8724 and the other had the 9,500 9.5ti--it took them two hours to pull out the cruiser---imagine the come-alongs  We had to bury a tire to winch out the first jeep..... I haven't made it over to baja yet but we are going on a boat trip for the 4th of July in La paz ;)

Living down here it so hot that I always have two giant 10 liter bottles of water stashed in the back--good idea on the extra food--although I could stand to shed a few kilos

the burrito mod would be pretty lame in Mejico...
what you need is the Birria mod: cut a hole in the hood, big enough for a big pot where you put the whole head in ... Great for startling gringas when they peek in the pot..
