I went in for my 30k mile mx today and after leaving I was looking for an unrelated document in my glove box and found a card with the pre-paid maintenance "autocare" coupons from the previous owner. I took it back into the advisor and he said he technically couldn't take it, but he would in the future because he knew me. Something about an audit would make a lot of problems for them. I asked him if it can be transferred and he said no, I don't think so. I subsequently found a website that says it CAN in fact be transferred for a one time $50 fee.

I wasn't that bothered by paying for my 30k mx out of pocket, but I have pre-paid coupons out to 70k miles.

Anyone have any ideas with this? I was thinking about emailing Jennifer at Wolverine Toyota or whatever the latest place is and asking her, but I wanted to see if anyone here had an idea first. Didn't want to highlight myself unnecessarily if it is something that has to be cancelled when a new owner takes over.

Slight update - looks like it can be transferred, but it has to be by the selling party. Who in this case is not reachable. I was advised to just simply say "the vehicle has a 70k prepaid maintenance on it" at the time of service.

Open to additional considerations.
