Pre-Collision System

For those that have the 2013-2015 pre-collision system, has it ever saved the day for you, glad you have it, hate it?

1. Does it brake to a complete stop?
2. Does it beep, then beep and brake?

Didn't have much luck in search or google search, so your insight is much appreciated, as we choose a 200 series.

Pre-collision on my 2008 is mainly about pre-tightening the front seatbelts on hard braking...which is very effective...but now that you ask... I’m curious what was added 2013+.

I do think the seatbelt tensioner is extremely effective—albeit rather startling to passengers not expecting it.

Also have to say...
yesterday in LA/Hollywood...
-We had to make two, full-on emergency-stops with 5 people loaded into my already crazy-heavy LC plus a full 2nd tank of fuel. It is truly incredible how well I could come to a complete stop from highway speeds with probably well over 9k lbs rolling down the freeway. And that’s with OEM rotors and ceramic brake pads. This think has stopping power!

Am I correct in that it will apply brakes, but not to a full stop?
