Looking for a pre '69 fj40 brake master cylinder in working condition to use for a clutch master cylinder on my V8 conversion. PM me if you have one, or feel free to email me at

fj40@dccrusr.com

Thanks,
Fax

just did a 65 for the kids to race and used the newer stuff because i didnt have any older ones laying around good luck

I am. The stock one is leaking (needs to be replaced), and the pre69 brake mc has a 1 1/8" bore which will give the slave cylinder (1" bore) more throw making for easy shifts on the new V8 conv.

a properly adjusted clutch hydraulic system really should'nt need more throw to work properly with that application.
i had a gm V8 and a 4spd in my 45LV with the stock hydraulics and it worked perfect.

I have one off my 64 fj40. The p.o. said he had just put it on, still looks pretty new to me. I don't need it anymore since I went GM, but I snap a pic of it if you want when I go to the shop tomorrow.

Here are the pics, I'll send you further details in a PM

i did that years ago and i may have done something wrong but all it did was shove the piston out the end of the slave cylinder and jam the clutch up but i was young and not to smart good luck
