Hello All,
I am not much of an off-road enthusiast, but I do like in a rather remote and extreme part of Europe. Once every few years we get isolated due to snowfall. I currently have a 2022 Rav 4 and for a variety of reasons, I am considering a Pre-2010 Land Cruiser. Often these models have 200,000 KM+ (125K miles+).
I occasionally haul wood, tools, and passengers and about 2-4 times a month do 700 km (435 miles) trips. Aside from all the usual used car best practices (I am a mechanic and my father-in-law is too), what things should I know? It seems that a used model from this time frame could last another 500,000 KM (~300,000 miles) if properly maintained and cared for.
Any thoughts? Tips?
