I have an Iron Pig Offroad power steering conversion bracket for sale and n2666s had a question about it that I can't answer. His 74 pig has a driver's side alternator and he was wondering if it would interfere with the mini-truck PS conversion.

Any thoughts?

I have the IPOR bracket on my 76..however the alt is over on the pass side and the 60 series ps pump is mounted on the drivers side. I can take a few pics if that would help you and Lou out.

I'll take some pics when I get home tonight and post'em up. If you're putting AC and PS on your pig...probably the easiest would be to scavenge some bracketry of a 60. Put's the alt and AC on the pass side and the PS on the drivers side. Does your 74 have the 1F or is it now a 2F ?

Todd; it has the original 1 1/2 F running like a sewing machine:D

PS, AC and 2 groove pulley; can it be done?

Todd; got them; thanks for sharing.....nice clean install.......I think you are running a 3 groove pulley?; am I correct?....have a 2 groove on my
74 1 1/2 F :hhmm: gotta give some thought on how to move the Alt. to the P. side and still leave room for the AC:confused:

Will send pics of the fan this weekend when I'm home. Nothing special really...when I replaced the water pump with ~ an 84 pump versus an early 2F style, it sticks out further and hence I could not run the fan from behind. So, a little measurng and a call to Summit Racing took care of the fan. I would have prefered using a puller fan but again space was limited. On other crap I have that will definitely heat up, pulling air from the rear (creating a low pressure zone) is much better.

....and yes it's a three groove pulley and I haven't re-installed my AC yet...but without the smog pump, I think a two groove could be sufficient.
