Power Folding Mirror Issue

Tonight the driver's side rear view mirror folding motor went nuts. It runs constantly with a rapid clicking sound. After some googlefu I find that this seems fairly common but there is no clear diagnosis. The switch is currently unplugged which stopped the motor.

Need new mirror, new switch, etc? Anyone here resolved this? 07 Sequoia Limited.

Cracked gear was the consensus on tundra solutions. Could be glued with the right epoxy or if someone has a 3d printer, scanned and replaced

Sometimes it's the switch that causes this issue, so you can try out someone's known working switch to rule that out. It's probably motor/gears as Jgrauman mentioned though. I have the same issue and my switch has been unplugged for the passed year.
