The wife was out of town for Mother's Day, so I had opportunity and motive to black out her stock rims like she's been asking for.

I think it looks 100% better than the aluminum color.

The sliders should be done this weekend.

very nice! I saw someone do the same thing with a teflon coating. It was a slate grayish color, but it looked good too! Nice work!

Why did you chose power-coat over teflon...? Teflons a lot more durable...either way they look nice :)

Because I could powder coat them myself.

A 5lb can of powder costs about $50. I have easily 2.5lbs. left over to do other things with.

The minimum order of teflon I've seen is $1000+ if I could do it myself, which I can't.

you have powdercoat powers? I have 80 sliders and a rear bumper that need it....

looks sharp!!

Makes sense.

My powers are weak, I'm afraid.

Right now my maximum limit is 17". The FCJ rims barely fit in the ovens.

I have a set of FJC sliders I'm herculining tomorrow.

looks good. looks like what we call a medium gloss black. i wouldnt pay 10 dollars a pound for it though. this is what i make for a living. i can get that kind of black for less than half of that all the time. if anyone is interested i can sell you some as lomg as you pay shipping.
