Long story, but I'm most of the way into an audio system install. Wasn't going to install a sub, but at the last minute opted to. Didn't like the first sub, another type is on the way. I snipped the ends off the RCA cords from my head unit to the trunk to use the cord on the first sub. I want to put a new end on the cord (vs pulling seats and running a new RCA cord) and am wondering if it is difficult, or requires a special tool?

Hoping someone will say "get new ends at Radio Shack, and 5 minutes with a soldering iron".....

cheers,

Thanks, worked fine after. Now if I could just figure out how to repair a random blob of solder falling directly into the head unit's microphone jack, I'd be good. For the love of Pete................

Clean it off with solder wick and a soldering iron.
