Someone mentioned that they are discontinued, but this is the real story: BE has changed suppliers for some of the parts, and will be coming out with a new model in May that has minor esthetic changes, new colour, handles etc. It will have the same engine and same specs, though they are in testing right now to make it a few db quieter. The existing model is 60db @ 50% load. Like I said, I'll be talking to the owner next week and will get some firm numbers and options then.

Nope... I'm not a store, just trying to personally get a deal. I'm not buying all those units, the purchase is between BE Pressure and anyone who wants in on the group buy.

With the Honda 2000i on sale at $1300 right now, I'd rather spend less than half that for a product that (1) is warrantied for a year unlike buying a used honda (2) I don't plan to use very often anyhow (3) the money goes to a BC company with BC workers and families, and (4) there are 33 authorized repair shops in BC alone, and more across Canada, so it's easy to repair and get parts for, oh and (5) small gas engines have been around for what 150 years, it's not rocket science and for the savings if I need parts it will still cost me less than a honda longterm.

Ya funny how some can idle all night with a bunch of load and some are fast idle with the same load , needing gas in the middle of the night. When theyre running you get used to it , its when you have to restart them they get heard by everyone all night. I have found that an extra battery in your system and keeping it power simple works best for my 4x4 camping needs. Glamping on the other hand is a different story with a trailer or rv . Then you might as well get something that is not changing evertime you inqiure about it .

Yeah I have nearly 500Ah of batteries in my arsenal + solar, so for me it's not really a big deal, I might not even buy one if the savings aren't that great.

I see that Honda sales flyer. They say that it's $100. off retail but then they turn around a say that freight and pre-delivery is extra. What kind of
B.S. is that: freight & PD? It comes straight out of the cardboard carton. If the group was all sucking power off the e2000 for stereos, computers, lights, battery recharges, etc., then even 2000 watts may not be enough for say, 6 vehicles. I think that Honda is asking too much for these units, even if they are better than the crappy Chinese ones. Where are the Hondas made these days? Phil has been happy with his old one, is his 1000 or 2000 watts?

My GX25 is Thailand Made.... Just like Toyota Oil Filters!

2000 watts, but I've never owned one, I have friends that do :)

good luck man. was just trying to give you heads up based on my experience and buddies who have the same unit as you like. again good luck.

Either I'm not understanding your point or you don't understand what I'm doing. What I'm doing is basically nothing, other than letting people know that there may be a deal on a small generator. I'm not selling anything, what do I need luck for again?

my point was to test one out and compare to a good unit before getting everyone to buy one in case it turned out to be a POS. at that point not matter how cheap, you have paid too much. not that i'm saying this one is junk. there is more to a good generator than what is on paper.

Okay, gotcha. At that price point I don't expect a Honda so time will tell.

Latest update: our schedules aren't lining up until next week Thu to go over details... stay tuned
