Would anyone be interested in a 1972 Pontiac 455 big block?

I know a guy who is wanting to get rid of one. Its just sitting at his house. Only has 80k on it. I don't know all the details on it but I could get his number for anyone who wanted to know more.

This is located in Chattanooga, TN. Most likely it would be pickup only.

I may be interested if shipping becomes an option. I would need to know if its got 4 bolt caps (all 455's have 4-bolt bosses), if its been bored and/or had crank turned, what head castings are on it, etc.

This is not my engine and I am just seeing if there was an interest in it for a friend. I do not know all the details but I can get them and I will be getting them this weekend.

I was doing the exact same thing, selling something for a third party, and did the exact same thing, forgot the price. I was just saying that I got jumped for it, but they leave other people alone. And if I remember right it was not just one person, I got tag teamed.

But thanks for clarifying the price, too much for my taste.

I'm not totally sure thats what the price is going to be. I really haven't gotten a chance to talk to him yet about it. But I'll be finding out more this weekend and I'll have all the definates then and I'll be sure to post them.

Ok, so I just found out that it is a Quadrajet engine with a 4 barrel on top. It is in a barn covered so it should be in fairly good shape. I have the guys number so if you are interested PM me and I'll send it to you. He is open to offers and is willing to ship it as long as you figure out the shipping prior.

I do not know the area code of where it would be shipped from but if you were looking for a rough estimate, the Lookout Mt. Ga area code is 30750.
